The member of the Presidency of this party, Myzafer Elezi, said in a post on social networks that this is a sad snapshot of the failure of the Government to protect the life and property of citizens.

Elezi says 19 wildfires are raging on, meanwhile efforts to extinguish them are not enough and often hampered by lack of adequate resources and planning.

He further calls on the Government to take prompt measures to assist firefighting forces with the necessary equipment and resources, as well as to develop long-term plans for preventing and managing such crises in the future.

“In the villages of Finiq, Selenica, Pustec, Tropoja, Mat, Dibra, Bulqiza and many others, the flames are threatening not only our environment and natural resources, but also the life and property of citizens. Meanwhile, the operational forces and firefighters are grappling with great challenges in rough terrain to keep the situation under control,” Elezi said.
