TIRANA, Feb 28 /ATA/ As temperatures climb and the sun returns, Vlora quickly reclaims its place among Albania’s most popular destinations. Locals and tourists alike flock to the seaside promenade, the Lungomare, where the city’s vibrant coastal atmosphere turns every sunny weekend into a snapshot of the summer season.

“Unusually warm weather and clear skies at the end of February have given Vlora a spring-like atmosphere. The city’s seaside has drawn crowds of residents and visitors, who spent their mornings and afternoons enjoying the coastline. Children playing along the shore, young people strolling through the boulevard and the Lungomare, while families and the elderly soak up the sun over the Ionian Sea. The bright days have brought a surge of energy and movement back to the coastal city, offering a preview of the tourist season to come.”

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared scenes from Vlora on social media, captioning the post simply ‘Vlora today.’ The photos highlight the city’s coastline and promenade bathed in sunlight, while residents and visitors alike enjoy the unusually mild temperatures for this time of year.

Infrastructure investments have transformed Vlora into one of Albania’s most sought-after destinations, attracting visitors year-round. The city has consolidated its position as a premier tourist hub, thanks to its mild climate, extensive coastline, and modern facilities designed for holidaymakers.
