TIRANA, Feb  6 /ATA/ The Siberian cold front that gripped the region did not spare Tirana either.

The residents of the capital on Monday weathered ice on the streets and strong wind, unusual for Tirana, in recent years.

Low temperatures were recorded throughout the country, while Tirana woke to -2 degrees Celsius on Monday.

The cold, according to meteorologists, is expected to persist throughout the week, somewhat limiting the daily activity of citizens. Although rain or snow are not forecast, Tirana will continue to be in the grip of cold days.

At night, the temperatures will reach -4 degrees Celsius in the capital, while at noon the temperatures will not be below 10 degrees.
