During the meeting, Finance Minister highlighted productive cooperation between Albanian institutions and the World Bank, especially in supporting development of priority sectors of the country’s economy.

“The cooperation portfolio with the World Bank includes a number of important financial instruments, particularly the state budget support,” Malaj stated.

Finance Minister underlined that WB has recently approved a 120 million dollar loan for Albania, the Second Resilience and Green Development Policy Loan (DPL), to support the country’s structural reform efforts in strengthening fiscal resilience and promoting green development.

According to Malaj, cooperation with WB will focus on renewable energy sector, increase energy efficiency, environment protection, and reduction of carbon emissions in line with Albania’s commitment to developing green and sustainable economy.
