The only institution from Albania that received the award “Special recognition for trust in public administration, for the E-Complaints system” is the Public Procurement Commission (PPC).

In a statement upon receiving the award, the chairman of the PPC, Jonaid Myzyri, on behalf of the Public Procurement Commission, expressed his gratitude to RESPA and SIGMA-OECD for the opportunity to come together and promote the best practices in the Western Balkans.

“This means a lot to us, it is an encouragement to move ahead on the path of reforms, which are usually not an easy task. It is more than necessary to be together and open, to share practices and learn from each other, because we not only share the same challenges, but we share the same goal, EU integration. Digitalization as an Anti-Corruption Strategy emphasizes that digitalization can fight corruption by reducing arbitrariness, increasing transparency and enabling accountability, as well as by dematerializing services and limiting human interactions. By putting citizens, business, stakeholders in the center, everyone can contribute to increasing trust in the public administration”, he said.

Myzyri said that “this award goes not only to our hardworking team, but also to the experts of the National Agency of the Information Society.”
