TIRANA, August 18 /ATA/ “Albanian exports are on the rise, and their shifting composition points to encouraging structural changes,” said Minister of Economy and Innovation Delina Ibrahimaj. She reported that July 2026 exports climbed to 33.6 billion lekë—a 10.6% increase from last year—bringing the seven-month annual growth rate to 6.7%.

Ibrahimaj said exports are growing in a smarter way. Instead of basic goods, we now export more machinery, energy, and metals. This shows our economy is moving toward higher-value work.

According to the minister, to strengthen Albania’s economy, the goal is to increase high-value exports by scaling up local production, upgrading technology, investing in workforce skills and promoting the national brand.

/p.s./

TIRANA, April 15/ATA/ The Central Election Commission (CEC) informed the citizens today about some of the most frequently asked questions about the ballot paper that they will have on hand on April 25.

The CEC informed that on April 25, voting will take place with only one ballot paper.

The names of the electoral subjects (political parties, coalitions or independent candidates) are written on the ballot paper, and in each row where the name of the electoral subject is written, the numbers of the candidates of that subject are listed according to the order in the submitted list to the CEC.

But, how should the ballot paper be filled in for it to be valid?

The CEC informed that in the blank box next to the logo of the electoral subject (party / coalition), or as the case may be when choosing the candidate, you must put an X or +. Every other note may invalidate the ballot paper.

There are three ways to vote that make a vote valid:

The citizen can vote only for the electoral subject (party / coalition) and not vote for any of the candidates of that electoral subject. In this case, the vote goes to the list of candidates as a whole according to the ranking presented by the electoral subject.

The citizen can vote for the electoral subject and can also vote only for one of the candidates of that subject. In this case, the vote goes to the electoral subject. It is also a vote for the candidate of that subject.

The citizen can vote only for one candidate (by marking X or + only in the box corresponding to the number of the preferred candidate), without voting for the electoral subject to which that candidate belongs. In this case, the vote goes to the candidate, but it also goes to the subject to which the candidate belongs.

The CEC stated that voters cannot vote for one electoral subject and for the candidate of another subject. Voters cannot vote for two electoral subjects. Voters may not vote for two candidates of the same electoral subject. Also, voters cannot vote for two candidates from two different entities. /j.p/r.e/p.s./
