In his speech, Rama thanked the participants for the warm reception which, as he put it, is the greatest enthusiasm and the largest number of people in his memory.

“This is a very good omen for what we will achieve together on May 11, when more Albanians than ever before in Albania and abroad will join our common path with the Socialist Party for Albania 2030 in the European Union”, said Rama.

May 11 election, Rama emphasized, “is a very clear choice. It is a choice between the interest of an entire people and plight of a single person. It is a choice between the common good of Albanians, i.e. the EU membership, regardless of socialist or democrat, left or right and the interest of a single home, i.e. Sali Berisha. It is a choice between Albania in the EU or Albania with the “owl” of the “swamp” and back in the abyss.” /r.e//a.f/p.s./

Speaking in a meeting with the local residents of Fushë-Krujë, Rama said that, “I guess no other people, in no other language than Albanian has the expression ‘the shortest way happens to be the longest’.

Our people has been forced to say this proverb that we inherit from generation to generation from grandparents, from parents and we tell our children so often, beware the short way, is the long way”.
