TIRANA, Oct 4 /ATA/ Deputy Prime Minister Albana Koçiu today inspected ongoing works to build a new water supply and sewerage network in Kombinat, which will provide drinking water to more than 920 residents.

“Work continues apace over the weekend in Kombinat to respond as quickly as possible to residents’ requests on Konçita Konomi Street. Together with UKT, we have started work on building a new water supply and sewerage network, providing drinking water to more than 920 residents,” Koçiu said.

The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that all interventions are being carried out alongside the road rehabilitation works, in coordination with the Tirana Municipality, to ensure both quality services and sustainable infrastructure.

“Good work for Kombinat will not stop. We will continue to be there for residents, in every residential block and neighbourhood, to improve their everyday lives,” Koçiu said.

Koçiu said residents had raised concerns about the condition of the water supply and sewerage network during meetings with the community.

“One of the main requests raised when we began investing in the entire residential block was the need for a drinking water supply network. The aim was to avoid completing the road’s asphalt surface only to have it dug up again to lay pipes connecting each of the houses in the area. It is therefore very good news for residents that the work is being carried out in parallel, ensuring that the investments being made in the area are sustainable,” Koçiu said.

The project includes a new water supply network serving the entire area, covering a neighbourhood of around 210 homes and 920 residents.
