Minister of Tourism and Environment Mirela Kumbaro on Wednesday shared several photographs showcasing parts of Albania’s rich costume heritage, describing them as one of the country’s most valuable ethnographic treasures and expressions of regional identity.

“These costumes are eternally etched into our magnificent costume tradition, with some now officially documented in the National Tourism Agency’s archive thanks to the ‘Wanderlust in Albania 2’ contest,” Kumbaro said.

Returning for its second year after the success of its inaugural edition, the international photography and video reels contest “Wanderlust in Albania” reveals the country’s beauty through the eyes of travelers and visitors. Participants submit photos and short videos captured during their journeys across Albania.

Both professional and amateur photographers and videographers from Albania and 36 other countries contributed stunning images this year, highlighting Albania’s natural landscapes as well as its cultural and historical heritage.
