In her address to the Socialist Party’s Congress in Tirana, Manastirliu dwelled upon the government’s educational transformation reforms designed to improve quality and affirmed that teachers will see their average monthly wage increase to 950 euros.

“2024 will mark the wages rise for teachers at record rate, taking the average salary to 950 euros a month. With the new pay rise, we will support not only teachers currently employed in the country’s education system, but we will also attract and keep talented teachers to contribute to Albania,” Manastirliu said.

Education Minister also said that a national professional training programme is set to kick off next year, providing teachers across the country to attend training sessions on effective teaching methods on mathematics and other sciences in a bid to improve teaching quality and meet the pupils’ and students’ needs.
