The Committee decided to start the recounting process of ballots in 108 boxes on Wednesday morning.

“By analogy of the case and given the accord among the parties involved in the process, the Committee of Complaints and Sanctions accepts the request submitted by the Socialist Movement for Integration and decided to revaluate and recount the ballots in 108 boxes identified as part of the SMI complaint,” the meeting’s rapporteur Koli Bele said.

The decision was welcomed also by the Socialist Party’s representative at the Committee, Eridjan Salianji, who said he was confident that the SP’s eighth mandate in Durres is legitimate and that the election result won’t change.
