During the month, women and girls in Vlora can access mammography services at the regional hospital without the need for a doctor’s referral.

“Vlora is our next stop! Women and girls can receive free mammography screenings without a referral at the regional hospital,” Koçiu said in a social media post.

She noted that in June, over 55 free mammography screening were conducted at Kukës Regional Hospital, northeastern Albania, providing women with essential health checks.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection intends to continue this awareness campaign throughout the year, emphasizing that regular screenings are crucial in the fight against cancer and for protecting public health.
