TIRANA, June 30 /ATA/ The Vlora Bypass, since its opening three years ago, has eased vehicle traffic during the tourist season.

Prime Minister Edi Rama on Monday shared images of the bypass on social media, highlighting its construction in accordance with the highest standards and the most advanced safety parameters.

The new 29-kilometer road is considered one of the most impactful segments for tourism, significantly contributing to easing traffic in the city of Vlora.

The bypass starts at the roundabout marking the end of the Levan–Vlora highway. It bypasses the area of Kanina on the western side above the city of Vlora, at an altitude of approximately 300 meters below the historic castle, providing panoramic views over the Bay of Vlora.

Lay-bys are available for vehicles every 1.5 kilometers along this road.

Following the completion of major infrastructure projects, the whole region has become a top-tier tourist destination, boasting facilities up to European standards.
