The meeting focused on the progress made in managing and preserving protected areas, as well as the objectives for 2025.

The prefects Plator Nesturi, Odise Kote, and Arben Çuko, who are the heads of the Management Committees for Protected Areas in their respective prefectures, reported on the past year’s work, while also outlining specific tasks and objectives for 2025, with a focus on the Vjosa National Park.

The Director General of the National Agency for Protected Areas, Daniel Pirushi, focused on the entire process and activities of the institution he leads, as well as on the cooperation with local stakeholders, communities, international organizations, and the academic research staff of Albanian universities.

Pirushi elaborated on the National Management Plan for the Vjosa Park, discussing the structural and logistical organization, along with the tasks and objectives for 2025 and beyond.
