The Director of the Krujë Historical and Ethnographic Museum, Mehdi Hafizi, told ATA that “from November 1st until today, approximately 10,000 visitors have toured the museum.”

“The majority of visitors to the museum in November were students from schools throughout all Albanian regions, who gained deeper insights into the history of the Albanian people, with a special focus on the national hero, Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg,” stated Hafizi.

Meanwhile, the museum complex in Krujë recorded a notable rise in visitors from January to October. During this period, approximately 160,000 local and foreign visitors toured the National Museum “Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu,” the Ethnographic Museum, and the “Historic Kruja Bazaar”.

The National Museum “Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu” is one of the most visited museums in Albania. Located within the ruins of the centuries-old Krujë Castle, the museum was opened in 1982.

The building is designed as a fortress of a medieval Albanian castle, with a primary focus on documenting the life and achievements of Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu, the national hero of the country. Over the years, the museum has amazed many visitors from different countries and has become a fantastic tourist attraction.
