In a televised interview from Ulcinj, Rama disclosed the agenda of this visit, which will start on July 3.
Rama said that he had invited President Clinton some time ago. “This is a visit anticipated and planned for some time now but we have kept secret only for reasons of any surprise in his agenda. It is a meeting intended to introduce President Clinton to Albania. He has been to Kosovo, he knows Kosovo, but he has never been to Albania, while for the Albanians, he and his family have a tremendous respect and a feeling of affection,” said Rama.

The Prime Minister emphasized that he witnessed such affinity when he was invited to one of the “Clinton Global Initiative” summits.
“Among the 2,000 guests from the world of business, media, civil society and the whole world, Bill Clinton, Hilary Clinton, Hashim Thaçi, Bujar Nishani and I were sitting at the main table. Out of respect for Albania and Albanians they seated us at the main table. Since then I have told the President that he should come and visit Albania. We have been in touch with the First Lady, we have a friendly relationship and finally the stage has been set for the President will come,” he said.

Speaking about the agenda of the visit, Rama informed that an Albanian style reception will be extended in his honor giving him the opportunity to get a glimpse of Tirana.”

“We will hold a public event in front of the govt. seat on the evening of July 3, at 19:00 hrs. He is scheduled to address the government,” he said.
