TIRANA, January 17/ATA/ Albanian citizens will be able to travel to China, without the need to obtain a visa, as it used to be until now.

Prime Minister Edi Rama said that after 30 days there will enter into force the bilateral agreement on the free travel of Albanian citizens to China and vice versa.

“After 30 days, China opens up for Albanians who don’t need to get a visa anymore”, wrote prime minister on social media.

The Albanian government decided during the meeting held on December 27, 2022, the approval in principle of the agreement between the government of the Republic of Albania and the government of the People’s Republic of China, for the mutual lifting of the visa regime for the passport holders of public officials and ordinary passports. Thus, the citizens from Albania and China now are eligible to enter each-other’s territories without being obliged to apply for a visa at first.

The decision was approved in principle by the government, as a proposal of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs./p.s./
