“Do not trust anyone who promises to help you obtain a US visa in exchange for money. Visa consultants’ main goal is to make money, not to give you good advice,” the Embassy said in a statement on the social media on Sunday.

The U.S. Embassy warned that it is the applicants themselves who would face consequences as they are responsible for the false information these agencies or consultants provide on visa application forms.

“Your application will be turned down and any valid visa may be cancelled. Save money and avoid  scams. We offer free information on how to complete your own application,” said the Embassy providing also a link via which everyone can complete the U.S. visa application.
