Begaj said that such phenomena of extreme violence or any form of violence against women have no place and cannot be part of our democratic society, while he requested that the law enforcement bodies should prosecute perpetrator to the fullest extent of the law.
“Today’s horrifying tragedy in Tirana, where three women were killed and three others were injured, is completely unacceptable. My heartfelt condolences go out to the families of the victims! Such phenomena of extreme violence or any other form of violence against women have no place and cannot be part of our democratic society, where human dignity and life are fundamental and irreplaceable values,” said Begaj.

He asked the law enforcement bodies to prosecute perpetrators to the full extent of the law.

“I strongly condemn all incidents of domestic violence and demand that the law-enforcement bodies prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law. A society where women are killed, violated, mistreated, subjugated to others’ needs, is a society that should not cease fighting until this reality changes completely,” President Begaj said.
