Agriculture Minister noted that Albania will exhibit its best wine labels at the Wine Vision by Open Balkan stand to compete among some 4900 exhibitors, hundreds of professional wine tasters and thousands of wine lovers.

“Among 4900 exhibitors, several hundred professional tasters and tens of thousands of wine lovers, at the Wine vision by Open Balkan stand, together with our producers we will showcase the tastes, territory, characteristics and authenticity of excellent Albanian wine,” Krifca said.

“Some 75 best wine labels of Albania and 20 wine producers will participate in the international exhibition,” Krifca added.

The exhibition brings together best wine producers, winegrowers, cellar masters, oenologists, sommeliers and wine suppliers, as well as wine exhibitors from some of the most famous wineries in the world and aims to promote the region as a tourist destination.

Viticulture and winemaking is an Albanian government priority to promote the sector’s development. Local wineries have benefited financial assistance through support programs from the Agency for Agricultural and Rural Development, for the reconstruction and building of premises, production lines and machines for packaging and standardization, investments that help improve wine quality.
