The Director of Agricultural and Rural Development Agency (ARDA), Frida Krifca, visited the vineyard run by Durim in the village of Kanaparaj, Durrës.

“He takes great pride in his business of vine-growing and tells me that how his fellow villagers are hardworking people and his village is famed for the cultivation of olives, vegetables and vineyard. This was one of the reasons that brought him back from Italy, where he emigrated in 1994. There he worked in every possible field, but he found himself in viticulture, where with the help of “Italians” he learned the craft of viticulturist, ” Krifca says.

Durimi decided to invest his savings in Kanaparaj. He built 11,000 m2 of vineyards and planted 1,200 roots of grapevine.

Krifca said that, thanks to ARDA support as part of the IPARD II program, he was equipped with agricultural machinery and aggregates that save time and improve the quality of his production.
She pointed out that Durim used to spend a lot, he was insecure renting a tractor to do the tillage.
The fruit of his work, today translates into about 100 tons of annual production of table grape varieties – Italy, black magic, victoria, rules – which goes to the wholesale market and exports.
