TIRANA, July 8/ATA/ In the new projections for 23 countries of Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe, including Albania, the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies revised the projections for the economy of 20 countries.

Albania’s economy is expected to grow by 5% in 2021 up from the 4.5% forecast for April 2021.

“Following the mass vaccination campaign launched in March of this year, the number of COVID-19 cases has dropped significantly. However, there have been negative risks associated with new variants of the virus and the influx of tourists.

Socialist Party emerged victorious in the April 2021 elections and will run the country for a third term. Economic stability and the continuation of infrastructure projects will be necessary to attract investment. Thus, Albania’s economy is expected to grow by 5% in 2021 up from the 4.5% forecast for April 2021,” according to Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies. //a.i/
