“Magic night at Air Albania Stadium”, wrote Prime Minister Edi Rama in the social media as he shared images from the concert.

This was the first time that Vertis performed in Tirana, where, as was seen from the participation and the echo he had, the singer has a large number of fans.

Vertis sang live, accompanied by the choir of many spectators at the “Air Albania Stadium”.

The concert performed last evening in Tirana is listed among many others scheduled in his tour entitled “20 years of rhythm and passion”.

As part of this tour, Vertis has also been in Sofia, Yerevan, Belgrade, as well as many cities in Greece.

During his visit in Tirana, the Greek music star also met with Mayor Erion Veliaj where during the conversation they discovered his Arvanites origin.

This concert can be considered the highlight of the Greek Cultural Week in Albania. /gj.m/p.s./

Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj revealed “a secret” during reception this afternoon, saying that Nikolaos Arvanitidis, better known by his stage name Nikos Vertis, is an Arvanites on his grandfather’s side.

“I am very happy that Nikos Vertis is finally visiting Tirana! The preparations for tomorrow’s concert are going just fine and we are looking forward to seeing you performing. I am convinced it will be an unforgettable night. What you don’t actually know that his stage name is Nikos Vertis, but his true name is Nikos Arvanitidis. For all Arvanites, but also for those knowing history of Albanians in Greece and our relations, your family name is a reminder of the fact that there are more things uniting than dividing us. Except for the political games, arts, music and coexistence of our nations are what matter most,” Veliaj said.

On his part, Greek singer said he was really impressed by Tirana.

To date, he has released five studio albums along with one CD single, and two special edition CD/DVD albums. Thelo na me nioseis (I Want You to Feel Me) is the most successful track from Vertis and it has reached 195 million views on YouTube since its release and is now believed to be the most popular Greek song ever.
