In a social media post, Vengu emphasized that he discussed with Admiral Vandier the importance of NATO’s strategic transformation process to address current and future risks and challenges.

“Innovation, cybersecurity, the industrial base, and the defense capacity planning process were topics of particular interest to our country, especially during this intensive period of approving the defense budget for 2025,” highlights Vengu.

Vengu also said that at the meeting with Admiral Perry, he highlighted the role of the Allied Joint Force Command in Norfolk in the geographical architecture for the security of communication lines in the Atlantic.

“Military mobility and agility, with a major impact on the deterrence and defense agenda of the Alliance, is closely linked to our promotion and investments in capabilities and infrastructure,” writes Vengu.

Minister Vengu emphasized that Albania will continue to support NATO’s command structure both politically and with personnel, for whom he received the highest appreciation from the leadership of both commands.
