According to NITP, the operation has started in Ksamil and Velipoja to continue in other areas.

“In Velipoja, 10 unauthorized buildings have been razed to the ground, while the operation is ongoing with the equipment of NITP and the army for removing the debris. In Ksamil, 18 unauthorized buildings have been demolished, while the process of removing inert materials is well underway,” same sources say.

No incidents were reported during the NITP operation in the two areas. NITP clarifies that figures do not include the buildings dismantled by the residents themselves.

The “Our Coast” operation is the initiative of the Albanian government to restore to the citizens what nature has given them, as well as to guarantee the law enforcement and protection of law-abiding entrepreneurship.
