Veliaj, after visiting the headquarters of the Muslim community, said that today Tirana is more united than ever, with the desire that the spirit of cooperation and service will continue even after the month of Ramadan.

“Today Tirana is more united! When I think about some unimaginable challenges, such as the earthquake, the pandemic that we have been through, we would not have overcome them all if we had not shared this burden. We have shared it with the mosques of Tirana, with all religious communities, with those who have offered hot meals, handled very complex cases of sick people in hospitals, and the fact that we have this opportunity to share this burden, has made our city better, has made Tirana more united and more empathic. If we behave every day as in the holy month of Ramadan, I believe that if we set aside many of those petty vices, divisions and debates and move on to things that unite us, we will be better off,” said Veliaj.

He announced that he would be at several social centers throughout the day to serve the holiday meal.

“I would like to continue with this spirit of service, unity and love for our city. I wish health and prosperity to you and all your families,” Veliaj said.
