During a meeting held with former members of the SMI, including Taulant Kalo, the former head of the SMI branch in this unit, the political leader of the SP for Tirana Region, Erion Veliaj, welcomed them to the socialist family and underlined that the door is open to many others.

Veliaj, accompanied by the SP MP, Fatmir Xhafaj, stated that the SP is a big family that does not discriminate against anyone.

“I appreciate your decision to join the SP ranks, better late than never, but what I promise you is that the SP will be an open door and a family that does not discriminate. In the SP no one brags where they come from or who they are because we all, at some point in our lives, have done our experiments. We are cognizant that what unites us is far more important than disagreements. The interest of our large family stands above the interest of a small family. We have no time to lose! “The catch phrase ‘unity makes strength’ applies to Unit 10, as we have united other friends and colleagues,” Veliaj underlined.
