“Albania, and especially Tirana, represent a strategic and essential partner for the mutual opportunities that we can build together. Italian enterprises will be able to look into the opportunities to invest in the innovation sector here because they can be opportunities not only for Albania, but for the entire Balkan space, in which Albania is a reference point with its capital, Tirana. Trieste, clearly the center of Friuli-Venezia-Giulia, has a special bond with the Mediterranean, as in the case of the “European Capital of Culture”, Gorica and Nova Gorica, and the
“Mediterranean Capital of Culture and Dialogue”, Tirana. Following the agreements with Albania, I believe that Tirana, which I have to say also thanks to the incredible work you have done to transform this city, can find important opportunities to build together a European future,” he emphasized.

For his part, Mayor Veliaj highlighted the hospitality and the special bond that exists with Italy, mentioning some of the achievements and cooperation between the two countries, which are already considered success stories. The mayor of Tirana emphasized the need to increase this cooperation in the future, through the promotion of enterprises and projects in various fields.
