The mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, visited the Plaku family, adding that all the houses damaged by the earthquakes will be completed within this year.

“Under the SP program, all 4500 houses will be completed within this year. There are 4500 families like Zyhdiu’s in the quake-damaged zone, who will move into their new homes, including those who benefit apartments, ie individual houses and apartment buildings in Kinostudio and Kombinat. I know that some people are skeptical of our promises, but here we are, every week we come to Farka, to Baldushk and Vaqarr, ” said Veliaj .

During his visit in Farka, the mayor shared a good news for all Tirana citizens.

“We will increase wages for all those who have started small businesses. Up to 400 thousand ALL, the wages will be exempt from income tax. Also, we will earmark a EUR 10 million fund for businesses or enterprises that connect young people with each other. With the city council we have approved 1000 soft loans for young couples every year. Another good news is that the government will provide support for Tirana, Vlora and Durres to shift to 24 hour water supply 100 percent. Today we cover only 70%, which is a good thing too, ” Veliaj said.
