Citing the example of the religious communities in Albania, he called to all Albanians to put aside the envy and the mudslinging towards each other, as only with cooperation and understanding we can do wonderful things.

“Unlike the ancient times when Ibrahim was asked to sacrifice his son, today we are asked to refrain from gossip, envy, jealousy, mudslinging, cynicism, selfishness. We should follow in the footsteps of religious faiths. The more loving we are, the more we refrain from these vices and these vices between us, the more we move forward. We have shown that when we cooperate we can do wonderful things”, said Veliaj.
He also thanked the police officers and doctors, who are on duty, even on holidays.

“I want to thank all those who served us until late last night, the officers of the State Police, the Traffic Police, the Municipal Police, the doctors. Today is a day off, tomorrow will be a day off again, but not for everyone. For some people, especially for those in uniform, big holidays, big organizations, require more commitments, more hours outside, more time away from the family. A thank you to all those who serve our community even on holidays,” the mayor said./m.m/sm/
