Veliaj appealed for more solidarity during these holidays.

“I am very proud of you and I am very happy to be here today in a bigger, more beautiful space. It is a facility where children come to do their homework, where we also help children with special needs, who need a little more help, and make sure everyone catches up with friends. But, of course, this is also a dedicated space for grandparents, so that they have a place to meet each other, to eat a warm meal. I hope that when you grow up, you will continue this work. If we grow up with love, the city becomes even better than it is.

“If someone needs empathy, if we knock on their door and say happy holidays, it would make them happy,” he said.

The mayor added that the center offers not only a shelter and warm meals for the elderly and people in need, but also services for children with special needs, such as physiotherapy, art therapy and free speech therapy.
