It was the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, who broke the news at the ceremony of the New Year tree lighting in the Castle zone.

“The good news is that next year the Castle area will stretch from the space here to the next one, so we will have the center of old Tirana like never before and anyone who really loves the heritage, loves the walls of the Castle and understands that only when there is human life, children, hugs, love, only then the ancient thing becomes valuable. We will realize that expansion of this space and dedicating the whole of Tirana to people, children, families instead of cars is the best decision for our city, the best decision in the interest of the people, “said the mayor.

Veliaj added that next year will be about the celebration of Tirana as a European Youth Capital.
