The athletes and their coach, Ylli Tomorri, together with the director of the multi-sport club “Partizani”, Shkëlqim Muça, were received in a meeting by the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.
Veliaj said that thanks to these successes, many young men and women are joining the chain teams and are playing sports.

“I am very proud of you! It had been a while since we had seen the sports palaces filled to capacity. The fact that the steps of the sports palaces are filling up, and the fact that many young people are joining the chain teams, the fact that we have a ‘nursery’, where boys, young girls, are turning away from the bars and from the Internet, from the iPad, from the phones and they are engaged in physical activity, all these developments are a great news. Of course, you are elite sportsmen, today you have two cups under your belt, the Cup of Albania, the “Gjergj Kastriot Skënderbeu” cup, you are also hoping for the biggest trophy, which is the national championship. But, above all, you won the cup and the championship of being a citizen. Today, it is not enough to be only a good athlete, you must also be a good person and a decent citizen, a role model”, stated Veliaj.
He assured the athletes that the Municipality of Tirana will continue the financial support for the sports teams to advance in the European cups.
