According to the Authority, the construction of Tirana Ring Road is taking its full form and this is an investment that will ease traffic on interurban roads.

Contract Management Manager Gëzim Noni spoke in an interview with Tv Klan about the works in each lot of this project, where work is underway at an increased pace.

According to him, the teams are currently working at a fast pace in 6 of its 7 lots, to be ready by the end of the current year.

There have also been built secondary roads which connect the ring road with other areas of the capital.

Tirana ring road is 28.7 kilometers long. The designed speed of movement is 90 km per hour, a speed limited due to the many entrances and exits.

TIRANA, October 5/ATA/ The former Enterprise for the repair and production of automobile transport vehicles, NSHRAK, which is actually the second center of road transport services, has been transformed to offer dignified services to the citizens of Tirana.

There are performed about 300 thousand services per year, 10% in the national level.

General Director of General Directorate of Road Transport Services Blendi Gonxhja said that non-budgetary funds thanks to good administration and income from self-financing have been invested in the renovation process.

Gonxhja posted today on social media photos of the work premises before and after the investments that transformed the building.

“A thrilling album about what we inherited at the former NSHRAK, the second center of road transport services, right in the heart of the capital, where about 300 thousand services are performed per year, 1/3 of Directorate of Road Transport Services Tirana, or about 10% of the total at the national level! See how about 100,000 vehicles were “served”, 37% of the capital fleet or 13% of the local fleet! In the last year alone, this center hosted 92,580 drivers! 26 employees of our entity “worked” in these conditions until 2020! Today, the work on radical transformation speaks for itself! Without increasing, on the contrary, by reducing costs and fees, facilitating and simplifying practices, we have constantly invested with non-budgetary funds, thanks to good administration and income from self-financing”, said Gonxhja./p.s./

TIRANA, September 10/ATA/ The state has already taken over concession for the testing of vehicles while the fees have been significantly reduced.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared today on social media the images of the transformation of the technical control building in the capital, part of the transformation plan of the infrastructure of all the regional directorates of the Albanian Road Transport Services.

The prime minister said that, “Half of Albania’s vehicles used to be tested at Tirana’s automobile depot and every driver who stopped there once in year was charged with high tariffs”.

According to him, “The images today, when the concession has been canceled and this service is performed by the General Directorate of Road Transport Service speak for themselves, just as the significantly reduced rates of transport services speak for themselves”.

Meanwhile, the Directorate continues to make other investments in buildings. After the transformation of most of the Road Transport Service facilities across the country has become a reality, investment will now be made in the central General Directorate, currently functioning at reduced capacity because of the damages caused by the earthquakes and classified as an object for reconstruction by the Construction Institute. /m.m/j.p/p.s./
