The head of Agricultural and Rural Development Agency-ARDA, Frida Krifca shared the example of the “Vegetal” company, which in two years has become a successful enterprise thanks to a clear vision and unstoppable work to succeed in business and agriculture.

In her remarks, ARDA head Krifca said that, “the key to success is cooperation, or otherwise known as the contract farming model.”

“Farmers are pre-contracted to produce cornichon/ pickled cucumber which will be purchased at a price agreed by the production company. “Vegetal” company provides the farmers with the seed and seedling and then collects and exports the entire product to Austria,” Krifca said.

Also Krifca emphasized that, through the support of ARDA the company has been able to purchase  sorting and calibration machines for vegetables, as mechanized production methods of urgent necessity to the farmer. //a.i/
