The process has reached the final stage and everything seems ready for the start of the new season, seeing that the final tests and trainings are underway to start its application from the first week.

The process has been divided into three phases, where in the first were held theoretical seminars with the referees during which they got to know the technology while information was provided on how to use the equipment for all technical staff and that of referees. The seminars were led by Alexander Papin, representative of EVS and Mike Van Der Roest, head of the VAR project at the FIFA.

In the second phase, there were conducted trainings with concrete cases by lecturers of FIFA and IFAB, where the Technical Director David Elleray, arrived at the Football Association and explained in detail the cases of touching the ball with the hand in the area, the new changes of the rules of the game as well as focused on the VAR system protocol, in terms of decision-making in the field, where situations detached from various national and international challenges have been used.

The third and final phase, which is currently being applied, is the training on the field, with real matches and in the stadium where the TV broadcast is attached to the VAR System, in which the referees act like in real matches, where in case of suspicious decisions they communicate with the VAR and seek its intervention. Training on side is a process where every referee will have to conduct at least 4 VAR matches before being certified for use.

After the matches that took place yesterday evening and this morning at the “Selman Stërmasi” stadium, in the evening the match Teuta-Shamrock Rovers will be with VAR Offline. /r.e/p.s./
