Kayaking brought together more than 80 water sport enthusiasts and racers from all over Europe this weekend to take part in the Valbona Kayak Fest in the Albanian Alps, north of the country.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared Sunday a gallery of pictures showing the Kayak Fest on Valbona River that took place on April 26 to 28.

“Valbona Kayak Fest brought together 80 participants in this three-day sports event. Water sport enthusiasts from Albania, Kosovo, Italy, Bulgaria, Austria and Germany took part in this activity,” PM Rama said.

Kayak Fest is not just a water sport race, but also an event that helps to help develop ecotourism in the area as mountainous tourism is becoming a trend for both foreign and local visitors.
