TIRANA, Jan 28 /ATA/ The Valbona Valley is one of the wonders of the Albanian Alpine nature to behold. Valbona Valley is the most visited tourist area in the Tropoja region, even among the most visited in the Albanian Alps after Theth Valley.

This area of unmatched beauty is explored not only by local tourists but also by foreign tourists, who are also keen to catch a glimpse of the customs and traditions in the northernmost villages of the country.

Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro, shared views of Valbona in these winter days, which are capped by snow.
“Valbona, where the local tour guides do an exceptional job of introducing Albania’s winter tourism to tourists,” she said.
The valley of Valbona lies in the center of the Albanian Alps, in the district of Tropoja. It enjoys the status of National Park and covers an area of 8,000 hectares.

The nature of this park is rich in varieties suitable for tourism, fishing and mountaineering. The Park boasts many interesting caves, of which the Dragobi Cave stands out. It has a mountainous climate with harsh winters and abundant rainfall and low temperatures, as well as long periods of frost and wind.

Many visitors from different countries of the world, as well as others from different parts of Kosovo, are present every day at the year-round tourist spot of Valbona, a tourist area that has made a name for itself owing to the hospitality and tranquility it offers.
The trip starts via Drini to Tropoja and then Valbona is only 45 minutes away. The river will be a companion until its source.
