This news was announced by Minister of State for Reconstruction, Arben Ahmetaj, during a meeting held in one of the toll manufacturing enterprises in the country.

Mass vaccination rollout is progressing at a fast pace and, according to data published by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, since the beginning of vaccination campaign “Albania smiles” over 370 thousand vaccinations have been delivered.

Albania has so far administered over 700 thousand vaccines, ranking first in the Balkan region for large scale vaccination against COVID-19.

Earlier this week, the President of European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, announced that 145 thousand doses of “Pfizer” vaccine funded by the European Union will arrive in Albania starting from May to the end of August.
