TIRANA, May 19 /ATA/ – By Arbi Fortuzi/ “Everyone should get vaccinated against COVID-19,” according to the citizens waiting in line to get the shot at the vaccination center in “Air Albania” stadium.

The Albanian Telegraphic Agency has closely monitored the process of vaccination against Covid in the premises of “Air Albania Stadium,” where the vaccination of healthcare workers, who did not receive the jab for various reasons in the first stage, are getting vaccinated.
Shpresa Niklekaj, a nurse at the “Queen Geraldine” maternity hospital, said that she had not received the jab during the first phase because she was infected with COVID-19 in January.

“I work in the delivery room. I was infected with COVID-19 in January and could not get the vaccine on time. I came today, according to the announcement of the hospital directorate, and I got the vaccine. I took the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine and I feel very well. I thank the state and the maternity ward that enabled the mass vaccination. I am very happy that I had the opportunity to get the shot. I also thank the Prime Minister. I was determined to get whatever vaccine available, I fully trust the safety of vaccine. I am a doctor and I am aware of its importance. “I strongly advise the citizens to get the vaccine without hesitation no matter the brand,” – Niklekaj told ATA.

Elton Koroveshi, a doctor at the “Queen Geraldine” maternity hospital, said he believes he will now be safer in his work.

“Today I received the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine. I believe that after this dose I will feel more relieved in my work. We will no longer use protective barriers and maintain social distancing in our daily work. All vaccines are 100% safe and I advise all citizens to get vaccinated. “I was infected with COVID-19 in February and it was a horrible experience,” – said Koroveshi.
