TIRANA, February 1 /ATA/ Justice Minister Besfort Lamallari hailed the decision of the High Judicial Council to approve 41 vacant positions for legal assistants in the courts of first instance and courts of appeal.

Lamallari emphasized that this is a concrete step to reduce the backlog of files and accelerate the doing justice, one of the most sensitive issues facing the judicial system in present-day Albania.

“Building capacities and strengthening human resources in our judiciary is not simply an administrative measure, but a political choice in the service of citizens, for a more efficient, faster and more reliable justice. Of course, while applying non-negotiable democratic standards, just like in the countries of the European Union,” Lamallari emphasized. /p.s./

TIRANA, October 14/ATA/ The Albanian labor market is showing increased demand for professionals and workers, with nearly 7 thousand vacancies currently advertised nationwide.

From financiers to manual workers, the demand for labor is increasing, while the main challenge remains the lack of workers willing to accept the offer.

In the first two weeks of October alone, according to data provided from the National Labor and Skills Agency, there have been registered 1,143 new jobs.

According to the agency statistics, there are currently opened 230 positions for professionals, with the most sought-after being financiers, economists, lawyers, engineers and technical specialists in various fields. This trend reflects the growing need of businesses for qualified staff, in order to expand their activity and improve the service standards.

While in the manufacturing, construction and logistics sectors, there prevails the demand for manual workers, with 231 vacancies announced in early October alone, making this one of the most sought-after categories in the market.

Meanwhile, even though the summer season has ended, there is still demand for service staff in coastal areas, with 18 vacancies for waiters announced for the period in question, as well as other positions such as cooks, cleaners and support staff. /a.f//r.e/p.s./

TIRANA, March 4 /ATA/ – Work is currently underway on the finishing touches of the newly-built Vlora International Airport before it launches operations ahead of the upcoming summer tourist season, while e total of 100 vacancies have been announced before flights begin from the coastal city in southern Albania.

The Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, also Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, said Tuesday that the Vlora International Airport has already opened its doors to the aviation professionals.

“Recruitment drive is underway to make Europe’s newest airport operational. Visit Vlora International Airport’s website (VIA) and file applications to become part of Albanian aviation’s history,” Deputy PM Balluku said in a post on the social media.

VIA has announced 100 vacancies in a bid to fill a wide range of posts including passenger services, ground crew and security.

Work on construction of Vlora Airport began in late 2021. The runway is taking shape, the terminal is being built, and the control tower is getting ready to boss around flights, set to begin in summer 2025.

Covering 309 hectares, Vlora Airport is designed with ambition. The 3.2-kilometre-long runway will handle wide-body planes like the Airbus A330 or Boeing 777.

Located just 10-km north of the coastal city of Vlora, the facility is designed to be Albania’s largest and a 4E class international airport, one of the major projects of the Albanian Civil Aviation, will become a new engine for Albania’s tourism and economic development.

The airport is also designed to host cargo aircraft flights and aircraft maintenance hangars.

TIRANA, October 20 /ATA/ The Electricity Distribution Operator (OSHEE) opened applications for 309 new electricians in all 12 regions of the country.

A day after the opening of the call by OSHEE, Prime Minister Edi Rama extended an invitation to young people to join the public service.

“Invitation to young electricians, to become part of the public service with decent work”, wrote Rama in the social media.

This is a program that will continue in the future, which is not only about employment, but also the qualification of the young people who want to contribute to the field of electricity.

According to an analysis made by the authorities in the country, it turned out that the average age of electricians varied around 48 years. For this reason, the call is opened for the employment of 309 electricians, where the criterion will be age up to 25 years.

If these 309 vacancies are not filled by young people within 30 days, the age criterion will be increased to 30 years old.

The electricity sector in the country has been radically transformed in recent years, while investments in the energy infrastructure for the next year are planned at 40 million Euros./p.s./
