The initiative, led by the President of the Albanian National Olympic Committee, Fidel Ylli, is supported by the Chinese Olympic Committee and aims to foster collaboration in sports science research, sports administration, and sports medicine.

During a visit to Tirana, Gao Zhidan, President of the Chinese Olympic Committee and China’s Minister of Sport, toured the Sports University alongside Rector Agron Kasa and Albanian Olympic chief Ylli.

Gao visited classrooms and modern laboratories and expressed support for the proposed partnership between the two institutions, officials said.

The cooperation is expected to include joint research programs and specialized training, contributing to capacity-building in Albania’s sports sector.
