TIRANA, June  19 /ATA/ Minister of Education and Sports, Evis Kushi, held a meeting with representatives of the National Agency for Financing Higher Education (AKFAL), the Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ASCAL) and the National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation.

The meeting touched on the process of awarding scholarships to the students of the beneficiary categories, including the excellent ones and those who opted for one of the programs announced as a national priority.

In a post on social media, Kushi emphasizes that, during this meeting, they underlined the need to engage public universities themselves in promoting priority programs to students, as well as avoiding delays in the disbursement of fund, studying market needs as well as secure employment of students after graduation.

This meeting also focused on other important issues that are considered challenges for the National Agency for Financing of Higher Education (AKFAL) in the following months, such as: student loans, financing of universities according to performance, unification of their annual reporting format, etc.
