“Based on the risk analysis, the Turkish citizen N.P., 43, upon arrival at the entrance of the security channel, was asked to cross the second line for more detailed check of luggage,” police at Rinas Airport said in a press release.

“As a result, Border Police services found $330,000 in undeclared cash hidden in his laptop bag. Following the related procedures, the Turkish national N.P. was referred to the prosecutors for criminal offence failure to declare money and valuables at border, while whole amount of money was seized as material evidence,” police said.

The materials were forwarded to the Tirana Judicial District Prosecutor’s Office for further actions.
