After a meeting with UN Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs Rosemary DiCarlo on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2026 in Türkiye, Hoxha highlighted the importance of coordinated international engagement amid growing global uncertainty.

“At a time when the world is facing increasingly complex challenges and multilateralism is being tested, our discussions focused on critical issues – from global security dynamics to stability in the Western Balkans, as well as the need to reinforce cooperation and uphold the rules-based international order,” Hoxha said in a post on X.

He reaffirmed Albania’s “steadfast partnership” with the United Nations and its commitment to the principles of the UN Charter, underscoring the need for a firm response to emerging threats to peace and security.

Hoxha added that Tirana will continue to work closely with the UN Country Team in areas directly linked to its strategic objective of EU membership under its “Horizon 2030” agenda.

The cooperation comes ahead of Albania’s upcoming Voluntary National Review, which the country is set to present in July as part of its broader alignment with international development and governance standards.
