In a televised interview from New York, Hoxha said that “Albania and the United States are the co-drafts of this resolution.”

“Albania has a primary role, because it is in the front line as pen holder, the one that proposes texts and requests meetings on this issue,” he said.
Asked about China’s position, Hoxha said that “China has made several statements at the Security Council and in Beijing, but China’s position is not clear.”

“China has not mentioned essential elements that have been part of the discourse of Chinese position to emphasize sovereignty and non-infringement of territorial integrity, which is one of China’s classic positions in the international arena. In the case of this act of aggression, China has been using a less straightforward language,” he said.

“This act infringes European security, the world order as we know it after the Second World War, it breaches the essential elements of international law and every article, every word of the UN Charter. Therefore, the way it will be treated and the stands that will be taken influence other similar elements in other regions,” he said.
