Economy and Innovation Minister Delina Ibrahimaj also attended the meeting.

The talks focused on strengthening cooperation and support for Ukraine’s reconstruction efforts and its European integration aspirations.

Rama attended the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC 2026), which brought together heads of state and government, international financial institutions, business representatives and civil society organisations to discuss support for Ukraine’s recovery and long-term development.

The conference aims to mobilise international backing and investment for the reconstruction of Ukraine following Russia’s invasion.

Addressing the conference’s second plenary session, Rama said Ukraine must secure peace with the same determination with which it has defended its freedom.

In her message, Speaker Nikolla said that Independence Day  of Ukraine is commemorated amid the Russian aggression.

“Albania has supported and will always support the just war of the people to defend territorial integrity and sovereignty of the friendly state of Ukraine,” Nikolla said in her message.

Ukraine declared its independence from the former Soviet Union on August 24, 1991.
