TIRANA, June 11 /ATA/ – Albania will join the international community’s support for Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction from the destruction wreaked by Russian aggression.

The Minister of State for the Relations with Parliament Elisa Spiropali is attending a high-level international conference on Ukraine’s recovery that is taking place in Berlin, Germany.

The conference is co-hosted by Germany’s Chancellor Olaf Scholz, second left, and Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Spiropali is set to deliver a speech on behalf of the government of Albania.

“Albanian government will keep supporting Ukraine in its just liberation war and will contribute to the post-war recovery projects,” the Minister of State for the Relations with Parliament Elisa Spiropali said in a post on the social media on Tuesday.

The conference will bring together heads of state and government, ministers and representatives of states, international bodies and financial institutions, businesses and civil society organisations.

The gathering will seek to mobilize continued international support for recovery, reconstruction, reform, and modernization of Ukraine. This includes providing emergency assistance for immediate needs, implementing rapid recovery projects and creating attractive conditions for businesses to unlock the private sector investments in Ukraine, and civil society to actively engage in the reconstruction process.

The conference will focus on the following four thematic dimensions: economic dimension (mobilization and strong engagement of the private sector in Ukraine’s reconstruction and economic growth); human dimension (ensuring social and human capital recovery for the future of Ukraine); local and regional dimension; the role of local communities with respect to recovery, the distribution of financial resources and capacity building, creating resilient communities through sustainable urban development, housing and local economic activity; EU dimension: support for Ukraine’s stability and progress through EU integration.
