“In the session dedicated official statements of the participating delegations and international institutions, on the second day of the conference, which focused on the main pillars of the plan for Ukraine reconstruction, we share a common position on importance of reconstruction, recovery and reforms in Ukraine. Albania is implementing its post-earthquake reconstruction program, while the global pandemic and the soaring prices triggered by the Russian invasion of Ukraine proved again that reforms are vital for our economies,” said Ahmetaj.

Deputy Prime Minister Ahmetaj highlighted Albania’s commitment to guaranteeing peace, stability and democracy in the region, Europe and beyond.

“In political terms, as a NATO member country and a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, where it held the chairmanship during June 2022, Albania has played a proactive and indispensable role in coordinating global support for Ukraine. We remain engaged, together with our Euro-Atlantic partners, to continue the coordinated effort to guarantee peace, stability and democracy in the region, Europe and beyond,” Deputy Prime Minister Ahmetaj said.
