The meeting focused on bilateral relations, ways to boost economic cooperation and the situation in the region.

President Begaj praised the excellent relations between the two countries, saying the United Kingdom is “an advocate of Albania’s integration processes.”

The President of the Republic expressed gratitude to the British government for supporting Albania’s northern regions through “New Perspectives” project for young people and businesses, and the vision for the sustainable development of the remote areas in the future.

President Begaj also praised the bilateral partnership in the fight against the organized crime, security and the democratization issues.
